Which ChatGPT plans can add Control?+
It depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace permissions: custom MCP apps need Developer mode or an administrator who creates the app. If the option is unavailable, ask your ChatGPT administrator to enable custom MCP apps. OpenAI’s help page has the current rules.
Do we need an administrator?+
Usually, on a workspace plan: someone creates and publishes the app, and the client ID and ChatGPT’s callback URL are registered before the first sign-in. The connect steps above say where to find the client ID.
Why does sign-in fail with an authorized-party error?+
ChatGPT tried to sign in without the registered client. Add the client ID from Data outputs, then MCP Server, to the connection and sign in again. If that page shows no client ID, registering one is part of setup: ask us.
Why does the app show old tools?+
A published ChatGPT workspace app keeps its saved tool list. On Business, recreate and republish the app; on Enterprise and Edu, refresh it and approve the changed actions.
Can ChatGPT change our numbers?+
Only within your role, and ChatGPT asks before it writes. What ChatGPT can read and change has the list.
Where is the data processed?+
OpenAI processes what ChatGPT reads under your agreement with OpenAI, and Control’s own AI processes data in the EU (security at Control.dev).
What does it cost?+
There is no separate MCP fee: MCP access, budgets and forecasts come with every plan. The pricing page lists the self-serve plans, a group with more than the five ledgers the Enterprise plan includes gets a quote, and the 30-day trial needs no card.
